Shibarium RPC Update Fixes Outdated Chainlist Network Endpoint
Shibarium has corrected outdated network connection information in the ethereum-lists/chains registry, restoring the correct public RPC endpoint used by wallets and Web3 applications through Chainlist.
The Shiba Inu X account reported the update, noting that the registry now lists Shibarium’s current public RPC endpoint. The correction followed a GitHub Pull Request opened by community member Mazrael, which was subsequently merged by the repository’s maintainers.
The change addresses an inactive endpoint that remained in the registry following Shibarium’s earlier RPC migration. Users relying on Chainlist to add Shibarium to wallets or Web3 platforms could previously encounter connection problems because the listed endpoint no longer resolved requests.
Shibarium RPC Endpoint Updated
Mazrael initiated the correction through GitHub Pull Request 8699, submitting the proper network endpoint for Shibarium. Repository maintainers later merged the request, bringing the registry’s network information into line with the endpoint currently used by the network.
The issue originated from an earlier infrastructure transition. Shibarium’s former public RPC endpoints were closed in late 2025 as the network moved toward infrastructure described as more stable and decentralized.
However, the ethereum-lists/chains registry retained the older endpoint. Because Chainlist relies on network information from the registry, the outdated entry could affect users attempting to configure Shibarium connections through supported wallets and Web3 services.
The correction updates the connection details without changing Shibarium’s transaction processing or other underlying network features.
RPC endpoints remain an important part of blockchain connectivity because they allow wallets and applications to communicate with blockchain nodes and access network data.
Shibariumscan Reindexes Network Data
The RPC correction comes alongside other infrastructure work across the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Shibariumscan was reindexing the layer-2 network during the reported update, with 52% of blocks indexed at that point.
Reindexing involves rebuilding an explorer’s database by processing block and transaction information directly from the blockchain. While the process is underway, displayed records can remain temporarily incomplete.
The reindexing does not remove transactions from the underlying Shibarium network. Instead, it concerns how blockchain data is processed and displayed by the explorer.
Shiba Inu Websites Move to Cloudflare
Separate infrastructure upgrades were also reported for several Shiba Inu ecosystem services.
The official shib.io website and ShibaSwap moved to Cloudflare on September 12, 2026, while also gaining IPv6 support. Shiba Inu’s documentation platform, doc.shib.io, likewise migrated away from its previous hosting environment.
Cloudflare provides services including content delivery, traffic management and website security. The infrastructure changes may affect routing, availability and compatibility for users accessing Shiba Inu’s primary online services.
Mazrael characterized the broader rebuild as more extensive than its limited public visibility might indicate. For users interacting directly with Shibarium, however, the RPC correction represents the most immediate change because it resolves outdated connection information used by wallets and Web3 applications.
