Pump.fun Launches Custom Pairs for Tokenized Stocks and Crypto Assets on Solana
The development was reported by Cointelegraph and follows an announcement from Pump.fun describing Custom Pairs as a way to expand the assets that can be used when creating new tokens. The feature moves beyond the platform’s more familiar pairing options by allowing creators to select a broader range of assets as the reference side of a trading pair.
Pump.fun Adds 20 New Asset Pairs
Pump.fun said the initial expansion includes 20 new asset pairs introduced through a partnership with Sunrise. The newly supported assets include Boeing, Alibaba, Coinbase-related products, Costco, Dell, Donald Trump Media, Hims & Hers, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin, Lululemon, MGM Resorts, Pfizer, Quantum Computing, Roblox, Reddit, Rivian, Shopify, Snap and United Parcel Service.
The company also said a total of 93 asset pairs are supported through xStocks and Sunrise.
The move brings tokenized equities and other financial assets into the token-launch process on Pump.fun, giving creators additional choices when determining how their newly issued tokens are paired.
Pump.fun’s own platform currently displays a wide range of tokenized stocks and exchange-traded products alongside cryptocurrencies and other assets available within its broader ecosystem.
Tokenized Assets Expand the Pairing Options
The Custom Pairs rollout is notable because the supported assets are not limited to cryptocurrencies. Pump.fun said creators can use tokenized stocks, crypto majors, metals and other assets as pairing options.
xStocks, one of the partners involved in the rollout, separately said its tokenized stocks and ETFs can be used as pairing assets for Pump.fun launches, including products representing major equities and market indexes.
Sunrise has also announced the introduction of 20 U.S. stocks on Solana, issued by Backpack Securities, with the assets made available across several Solana applications.
The expansion therefore connects Pump.fun’s token-launch infrastructure with a wider selection of assets represented on Solana. The available pairing assets can vary according to the supported products and issuers.
Custom Pairs Mark a Broader Direction for Pump.fun
Pump.fun described Custom Pairs as a way to provide greater variety for token launches. The platform said the feature is designed to support more pairing choices while offering deeper liquidity and lower fees.
The company has not limited the concept to tokenized stocks. Its announcement also includes major cryptocurrencies, metals and other assets, with additional token pairings expected to be introduced.
The initial rollout gives the platform a defined starting point, with 20 new assets added through Sunrise and 93 total asset pairs reported as supported across Sunrise and xStocks. Pump.fun’s announcement indicates that the range of available pairings will continue to expand.
For now, the most concrete change is the availability of Custom Pairs for token creators on Solana, allowing newly launched tokens to be paired with a broader set of tokenized financial and crypto assets.
