Shibarium has deployed nine Safe v1.4.1 contracts on its mainnet, expanding infrastructure for multisignature wallets and programmable smart accounts across the layer-2 network.

Shiba Inu community member Mazrael said all nine contracts are live and verified through the Shibariumscan explorer. Contributors have also opened Safe-deployments pull request 1666 to register Shibarium’s latest Safe deployment in the broader Safe ecosystem.

Safe smart accounts allow transactions to require approval from multiple authorized signers before execution. For projects managing treasury funds, the setup can reduce reliance on a single wallet holder while providing additional oversight for decentralized teams and community-managed applications.

The deployment also gives Shibarium developers access to established Safe tooling rather than requiring them to build their own multisignature infrastructure.

Shibarium Safe Deployment Targets Cross-Network Compatibility

The nine contracts were deployed on Shibarium mainnet through the established Safe Singleton Factory using the network’s chain identifier, 109.

A key feature of the deployment is its use of canonical Safe addresses recognized across supported blockchain networks. The SafeProxyFactory on Shibarium occupies the same address used by Safe on other canonical chains.

That address consistency means Safes created on Shibarium can use corresponding addresses across compatible networks, providing developers with a more consistent deployment framework.

Shibarium had previously registered Safe v1.3.0 through the eip155 deployment collection. However, that earlier factory does not provide the same cross-network address consistency available through the latest canonical deployment.

Each of the nine newly deployed addresses corresponds with the canonical records published in Safe’s repository for the respective contracts. Their runtime code also produces keccak256 hashes matching Safe’s published canonical code hashes.

These checks are intended to establish that the Shibarium contracts contain the expected Safe code and are deployed at the approved addresses.

The deployment is not yet equivalent to formal inclusion in Safe’s repository. Pull request 1666 remains subject to Safe’s established review process. Safe reviews canonical deployment registrations every two weeks and generally incorporates accepted additions into monthly releases.

Shibariumscan Indexing Continues After Service Disruption

The Safe deployment comes as Shibariumscan continues work on its infrastructure following a service disruption.

According to Mazrael, Shibariumscan has undergone a reset and has currently indexed approximately 50% of Shibarium’s blocks. The explorer was moved behind Cloudflare on August 11 as operators adjusted the system following the disruption.

The incomplete indexing may temporarily limit access to historical blockchain records through the explorer. However, the source material states that the underlying Shibarium network remains operational.

Mazrael also rejected claims that Shibarium is inactive, pointing instead to continued maintenance and infrastructure migration.

The latest Safe deployment therefore represents an infrastructure update for developers even as Shibariumscan works to restore complete indexing and historical data availability.
