ZachXBT characterized the situation as people effectively leaving him without the compensation he says had been agreed for his recovery work.

ZachXBT Details Unpaid Recovery Rewards

According to reports citing ZachXBT's September 25 statements, the investigator said three individuals have failed to provide agreed compensation since June, with the combined amount reaching approximately $100,000. One recent case involved a user whose stolen funds were recovered, but who had not responded to ZachXBT for nearly four weeks while continuing to be active on X.

The reported cases involve cryptocurrency recovery work following scams and thefts. Rather than simply identifying suspicious transactions, ZachXBT has frequently used on-chain transaction histories to trace the movement of stolen digital assets and identify links between wallets, exchanges and other services.

In the case highlighted in the latest reports, ZachXBT said he helped a victim recover approximately $275,000 that had been stolen earlier in September by an Indian phone scam group. The victim subsequently stopped responding regarding the agreed reward, according to reports citing ZachXBT.
