Shiba Inu Records Zero SHIB Burns in 24 Hours
Shiba Inu recorded no qualifying token burns over a 24-hour period, sending the reported daily burn rate down 100% as no SHIB was transferred to designated inaccessible addresses during the measurement window.
Data from Shibburn showed zero SHIB burns for the period, with the tracker also reporting no burn activity during the preceding nine hours. According to Shibburn website, The reading does not indicate that Shiba Inu’s burn mechanism has stopped operating or experienced a technical problem.
Instead, the zero figure reflects an absence of qualifying community transactions during the period. Shiba Inu burns generally depend on voluntary token transfers, ecosystem activity and initiatives involving the permanent removal of SHIB from circulation.
Shiba Inu Burn Activity Weakens Over Longer Periods
Shibburn recorded 44.60 million SHIB burned over the previous seven days. Despite that total, the weekly burn rate fell 69.59% compared with the preceding comparable period.
The slowdown was more pronounced over a 30-day period. Shibburn reported 413.44 million SHIB destroyed during the period, while the monthly burn rate declined 88.05%.
The figures indicate that the latest zero-burn day occurred amid a broader reduction in recorded SHIB removal activity during September rather than representing an isolated interruption.
Burning SHIB involves sending tokens to cryptocurrency addresses that cannot be accessed by users. Once the transactions are confirmed, those tokens cannot be retrieved, traded or returned to the circulating supply.
Daily burn figures can vary considerably because participation is not constant. A single large burn transaction can also produce a sharp increase in the daily rate after a period of limited activity.
Meanwhile, SHIB rose 9% over 24 hours and traded near $0.00000543 as demand improved across the broader cryptocurrency market. The move indicates that short-term price performance was not determined solely by the latest burn reading.
Shibarium Nodes Require Updated Peer Configurations
Separately, Shiba Inu community member Mazrael provided an infrastructure update for Shibarium node operators.
The update replaces older configurations with new Bor static nodes and Heimdall persistent peers. Node operators were advised to update both configuration files.
Mazrael warned that continuing to use outdated configurations could cause the peer count to fall to zero, potentially preventing affected nodes from synchronizing properly with the Shibarium network.
The update highlights the importance of maintaining current network configurations alongside other developments within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
The latest burn data shows that SHIB supply-reduction activity can vary significantly over short periods. While no qualifying burns were recorded during the latest 24-hour window, the weekly and monthly figures provide a broader indication of reduced burn activity. SHIB’s price, meanwhile, continues to reflect wider market demand and conditions beyond the burn statistics alone.
