Meta Shares Rise 40% in a Month as Muse AI Drives Investor Focus
Meta Platforms shares have risen 40% over the past month as investor attention around the company's Muse artificial intelligence platform has strengthened, with the stock gaining another 4.5% following Meta Connect 2026.
Coin Bureau reported the move in a post on X, linking the latest advance to Meta's expanding Muse AI strategy and a series of new hardware announcements. The company unveiled Muse Charm, a handheld device designed to interact with its personal AI agent, alongside new virtual-reality and AI glasses at its annual Connect event.
Meta's stock closed at $777.59 on September 24, up 4.50% for the session, according to Yahoo Finance. The shares also reached a new 52-week high during the trading day.
Muse Expands Beyond the Smartphone
Meta introduced Muse earlier in September as a personal AI agent capable of carrying out tasks rather than simply responding to questions. The company says Muse can handle activities such as sending emails and booking travel, while operating through a dedicated secure virtual machine.
The Connect event expanded that strategy beyond the smartphone. Meta said Muse will be brought to its AI glasses in the coming months, allowing users to interact with the agent hands-free and enabling it to act on what the wearer is seeing.
Meta also announced additional connectors for Muse, including integrations involving retailers, travel services, workplace applications and payment providers. The company said the expanded connections are intended to give the agent access to a wider range of tasks and services.
The announcements have added to the attention surrounding Muse since its launch. Reuters reported earlier this week that the AI assistant had accumulated more than 2.5 million downloads and had reached the top of U.S. app charts within two weeks of its release.
Muse Charm Joins Meta's Hardware Push
One of the more closely watched announcements at Connect was Muse Charm, a compact device designed specifically for interacting with Muse through real-time voice capabilities.
Meta described Muse Charm as a pocket-sized device built around its personal AI agent. The company said it would provide more details later this year, leaving additional specifications and availability information to a later announcement.
The company also introduced Meta VR Glasses, a roughly 100-gram virtual-reality device designed for entertainment, gaming and productivity. Separately, Meta expanded its AI-glasses lineup with Ray-Ban Meta Audio and new versions of its existing glasses.
Investor Attention Shifts Toward AI Products
The recent share rally has coincided with growing investor interest in Meta's AI strategy. Reuters reported on September 22 that Meta's shares had gained more than 20% since Muse launched, adding about $200 billion to the company's market value at that point.
Meta's latest product announcements markets now place Muse at the center of both its software and hardware strategy. The company said it plans to have more than 100 AI-glasses options across its Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta Glasses brands by the end of the year, while Muse is scheduled to reach AI glasses in the coming months.
