ARK Invest Tokenizes ARK Venture Fund on Ethereum Through Securitize
ARK Invest is bringing its ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) onchain through a tokenization initiative on Ethereum, giving eligible investors blockchain-based access to the existing investment vehicle.
According to Coin Bureau, ARK Invest is working with Securitize to tokenize ARKVX while keeping the fund’s underlying portfolio strategy unchanged. Securitize confirmed the tokenization on September 24, saying the fund would be available on Ethereum through its platform.
The ARK Venture Fund invests across private and public companies aligned with disruptive innovation. Its portfolio includes companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe and Databricks, although fund holdings remain subject to change.
ARKVX Moves Onto Ethereum
The tokenization changes the infrastructure through which eligible investors access the fund rather than altering its investment strategy.
Securitize said tokenized ARKVX will be available on Ethereum, with its infrastructure supporting onchain issuance and the investor experience. The ARK Venture Fund remains an actively managed closed-end interval fund focused on long-term capital growth through investments in private and public companies.
ARK Invest described the move as an extension of its broader focus on technology and innovation. The firm has maintained that blockchain technology can play a role in modernizing financial markets, while Securitize provides infrastructure for issuing and managing tokenized securities.
The collaboration follows ARK Invest’s strategic investment in Securitize announced in October 2025. That investment was intended to support the development and institutional adoption of tokenized securities and regulated investment products.
Cathie Wood Highlights Tokenization
ARK Invest founder, CEO and CIO Cathie Wood said tokenizing the venture fund puts the firm's view on the evolution of capital markets into practice.
Wood said tokenization has the potential to fundamentally reshape how investors access and participate in both private and public financial markets. She also described making ARKVX available onchain as a natural extension of ARK Invest’s mission around technology-enabled innovation.
The launch does not change the fund’s portfolio strategy. Instead, the blockchain-based structure provides a new infrastructure layer for eligible investors accessing the existing fund.
Securitize has expanded its tokenization operations across investment products and institutional financial infrastructure. The company reported markets approximately $5 billion in assets managed onchain in 2026 and said it was servicing 663 active funds as of June 30.
With ARKVX now being brought onto Ethereum, ARK Invest is applying tokenization to an existing private-and-public-market investment strategy rather than creating a separate blockchain-native portfolio.
