XRP Sentiment Hits Lowest Level Since July as Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz Targets Spam

XRP sentiment hits its lowest level since July as David Schwartz addresses reply spam and Ali Martinez identifies a possible bullish chart pattern.

XRP
sentiment across social media has fallen to its weakest level since July, even as crypto analyst Ali Martinez points to a potential bullish reversal pattern on the token's price chart. At the same time, Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz has announced plans to block users who repeatedly flood unrelated conversations on X with insults and accusations directed at him.

The developments come as XRP trades near $1.19 following a decline of more than 7% earlier this week. The combination of deteriorating market sentiment and renewed debate within the XRP community highlights growing tensions surrounding the cryptocurrency.

XRP Social Sentiment Falls to Its Lowest Level Since July

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez reported that online sentiment toward XRP has deteriorated significantly, reaching its lowest point since July. Despite the increasingly negative mood, Martinez suggested that widespread pessimism could potentially create conditions for a market reversal.

Some market participants monitor periods of extreme negative sentiment because cryptocurrency prices do not always follow the prevailing opinion of traders. When bearish expectations become widespread, a shift in market positioning can potentially create opportunities for an unexpected recovery.

Martinez also identified a possible inverse head-and-shoulders formation on XRP's price chart. The technical pattern is commonly associated with a potential transition from a downward trend to an upward move, although its significance depends on whether the price confirms a breakout.

"The bullish trade may not be overcrowded yet," Martinez wrote, suggesting that many traders had not yet recognized the potential technical setup.

In an earlier analysis, Martinez identified $1.60 as the neckline of the potential formation. A breakout above that level could open the way toward $2.10, according to his projection. However, XRP remains well below the identified neckline, meaning the bullish scenario has not yet been confirmed.

David Schwartz Announces Action Against XRP Reply Spam

While traders debate XRP's market direction, David Schwartz has addressed a separate issue involving interactions on X. The Ripple CTO Emeritus said he had experienced a sharp increase in users inserting replies about him into conversations taking place on other people's posts, including discussions unrelated to cryptocurrency.

Schwartz said many of these messages contain accusations of fraud or describe him as a "scammer." The activity has also affected conversations involving other users, with some people reportedly blocking Schwartz after their reply sections were flooded with such messages.

To address the problem, Schwartz said he would block accounts engaging in this behavior regardless of whether their messages were supportive or critical.

"I will block for this whether your post is a criticism or a compliment," Schwartz wrote.

He clarified that criticism itself was not the issue. Schwartz said he was willing to engage with accusations and opposing opinions when they contained substantive arguments rather than insults and were posted in relevant places, such as threads on his own account.

Schwartz also offered to unblock users who agreed to stop inserting these messages into unrelated discussions, even if they strongly disagreed with him.

Schwartz Opens a Thread for XRP Ledger Developers

Beyond addressing unwanted replies, Schwartz also responded positively to a community suggestion aimed at helping developers gain visibility for projects built on the XRP Ledger.

A community member proposed creating a recurring weekly discussion thread where developers, particularly newcomers, could introduce their projects and bring them to Schwartz's attention. Schwartz welcomed the suggestion, responding, "That's a great idea!!!!"

He subsequently opened a thread inviting community members to share and promote their XRP and XRP Ledger projects. The invitation was not limited to the XRP ecosystem, as Schwartz also welcomed contributions involving other cryptocurrency projects and even businesses outside the crypto industry.

The initiative provides a dedicated discussion space for developers and entrepreneurs to introduce their work directly to the community. It also comes as XRP faces weaker social sentiment and continued uncertainty over whether its price can establish a sustained recovery above key technical level
