Shiba Inu Gains 3.89% as Canonical SHIB Launches on Solana
Shiba Inu gained 3.89% after its canonical token launched on Solana through the Sunrise bridge, giving SHIB holders another route into the network’s trading and decentralized finance ecosystem. According to TradingView’s hourly chart, SHIB recovered from a local low near $0.000055 and moved toward resistance at $0.0000588–$0.0000598, while its weekly gain reached 2.69% during the same reporting period.
SHIB Expands to Solana Through Sunrise
The launch introduced a canonical version of the Ethereum-based SHIB token to Solana without changing the supply of the original ERC-20 asset. The expansion instead provides another network through which holders can transact and access applications supporting the token.
Sunrise uses Wormhole’s Native Token Transfers standard to deploy canonical versions of established assets across networks. For SHIB, the infrastructure connects the token with Solana-based platforms including Jupiter, Raydium, Phantom and Kamino.

Market momentum improved alongside the launch. On the hourly chart, SHIB’s relative strength index showed a bullish divergence around the announcement as the token recovered toward the upper end of its recent trading range.
PEPE Integration Offers Earlier Bridge Example
SHIB’s Solana expansion follows PEPE’s September 18 launch through Sunrise. PEPE gained between 5% and 8% during the first 48 hours after the expansion, moving above approximately $0.0000036–$0.0000038.
The subsequent move triggered a short squeeze that liquidated more than $2 million in bearish positions. By September 21–22, PEPE was trading around $0.0000051–$0.0000054, putting its gains from the beginning of the month at approximately 40%.
PEPE’s market capitalization subsequently moved above $2 billion before an October correction erased part of the advance. The token later fell toward $0.0000043–$0.0000045 but remained above the range recorded before its Solana integration.
SHIB Launch Draws Attention to Verified Contract
Both PEPE and SHIB have now been added to Solana through the same bridge infrastructure and associated applications, expanding the availability of established Ethereum meme tokens without replacing their existing Ethereum-based versions.
Shiba Inu’s official X account announced the expansion with the phrase “Different chain. Same dog.” Some community members characterized the deployment as opening a “second front” for SHIB across blockchain networks.
The launch also prompted the appearance of fake SHIB liquidity pools on Solana decentralized exchanges. Developers subsequently emphasized the importance of using the verified canonical contract and directed users to the official address as SHIB tested resistance following its recovery.
