Tom Lee’s BitMine Adds 17,362 ETH as Ethereum Treasury Nears 5% Target
The latest purchase leaves the company holding 4.9% of Ethereum’s total circulating supply, placing its treasury close to the 5% stake objective outlined in the report. The accumulation underscores the scale of BitMine’s strategy of holding Ethereum as a central component of its corporate treasury.
BitMine Ethereum Holdings Surpass 6 Million ETH
BSCN reported that BitMine’s Ethereum balance now stands at 6,001,302 ETH following the latest acquisition. The purchase indicates that the company continues to add to its ETH position rather than pausing its accumulation strategy.
At 4.9% of Ethereum’s circulating supply, BitMine’s reported holdings are approaching the company’s stated 5% stake objective. Reaching that level would require the treasury to increase its share by another 0.1 percentage point based on the figures provided by BSCN.
The size of the position also makes BitMine a significant holder of Ethereum through its treasury operations. BSCN described the company as having centralized a substantial portion of the network’s liquid supply through its treasury management process.
$17.2 Billion in Cash and Digital Currency Assets
The company’s total assets include $17.2 billion in cash and digital currency, according to BSCN. That figure places the Ethereum treasury within a broader corporate balance sheet combining conventional cash holdings with digital assets.
The reported strategy is closely associated with Tom Lee, who is identified by BSCN as the figure behind Fundstrat. The latest purchase adds to the company’s previously accumulated ETH position and takes its treasury beyond the six-million-token threshold.
The figures reported by BSCN provide a snapshot of BitMine’s treasury strategy, with Ethereum representing a substantial component of its reported digital-asset holdings.
More Than 5 Million ETH Reportedly Staked
A significant portion of BitMine’s Ethereum treasury is also being used for staking. BSCN reported that the company has staked 5,067,309 ETH, equivalent to 84% of its total reported balance.
That means the majority of the 6,001,302 ETH treasury is currently allocated to staking rather than remaining unstaked. The reported staking figure provides additional detail on how BitMine is managing the Ethereum accumulated through its treasury strategy.
With the company now holding 4.9% of Ethereum’s circulating supply, the next reported milestone is the 5% stake objective.
