Pi Network Listed as Open USD Ecosystem Partner in Open Standard Network
Pi Network has been listed as a partner within the Open Standard network, the organization behind Open USD (OUSD), according to an X post by AYYILDIZ3253.
The post describes the development as a major milestone for Pi Network, stating that the network has joined an infrastructure bringing together participants from both the digital and traditional economies.
Pi Network Appears in Open Standard’s Growing Partner Network
Open Standard is the company behind Open USD, a stablecoin designed for business applications including payments, settlement and other financial infrastructure. The organization said its network had attracted more than 200 financial institutions, fintech companies, banks and global businesses as of its latest update.
Open Standard officially launched Open USD on Sept. 30, 2026. The stablecoin is issued by Bridge and is live on Base, Ethereum, Solana and Tempo. Its reserves are held at BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY, with monthly attestations planned for the reserves.
The original X post specifically characterized Pi Network's inclusion as part of the founding structure of Open USD. However, Open Standard's own documentation identifies Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe and Visa as its five initial founding partners. The organization also distinguishes those founding partners from the broader group of companies participating in its network.
Open USD Brings Together Traditional Finance and Digital Assets
Open Standard was established around a model intended to give participating businesses a role in the development and economics of Open USD. The company says partners can receive access to integration support and participate in rewards and governance arrangements tied to the stablecoin's use.
At launch, Open Standard said more than 140 businesses had signed up to use Open USD, spanning payments, financial services, technology, commerce and digital assets. The list included companies such as Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, BlackRock, Coinbase, Shopify and other major financial and technology firms.
The five founding partners committed more than $1 billion toward near-term Open USD liquidity, according to Open Standard. The organization said each founding partner holds an initial stake and that governance will eventually involve a board representing shareholders.
Pi Network’s Position Within the Network
The reported inclusion places Pi Network within a broader infrastructure that includes established financial institutions, payment companies and blockchain businesses. A separate report published Sept. 30 also identified Pi Network as having joined the Open USD partner roster.
The available information does not establish that Pi Network is one of Open Standard's five founding investors. Instead, Open Standard's published structure separates its initial founding partners from the wider network of participating businesses.
Open USD became operational on Sept. 30, marking the latest stage of Open Standard's rollout and providing the infrastructure within which its expanding partner network can participate.
