OKX Secures Strategic Funding From Standard Chartered, Ripple and Circle at $25B Valuation

OKX secures strategic funding from Ripple, Circle, SC Ventures and Qube Research at a $25 billion valuation, extending its March funding deal.

OKX receives strategic funding from Standard Chartered's SC Ventures, Ripple, Circle and other investors at a $25 billion valuation

OKX has received strategic funding from major financial and digital asset firms at a $25 billion valuation, according to BSCN, in a round involving Circle, Ripple, Qube Research & Technologies and SC Ventures, the venture subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank.

OKX Funding Round Includes Major Financial Firms

The global cryptocurrency exchange secured commitments from several prominent institutions in the latest funding round. BSCN reported that Circle, Ripple, quant hedge fund Qube Research & Technologies, and SC Ventures have committed significant funding to OKX.

SC Ventures is the venture subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank, linking the funding round to one of the world's major banking institutions. The participation of Ripple and Circle also brings established digital asset companies into the investment group supporting OKX.

OKX Valued at $25 Billion

The latest investment values OKX at $25 billion. The valuation places the funding round among the exchange's significant recent capital-raising transactions and follows an earlier investment involving the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange.

The current round extends a previous deal announced in March, when Intercontinental Exchange, or ICE, invested about $200 million in OKX at the same $25 billion valuation. ICE is the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange.

Investment Builds on Earlier ICE Deal

According to BSCN, the March transaction established the same $25 billion valuation that applies to the latest strategic funding. The new commitments therefore expand the group of institutional and digital asset investors backing OKX without changing the valuation cited in the earlier deal.

The latest funding brings together Circle, Ripple, Qube Research & Technologies and SC Ventures, while the previous transaction involved approximately $200 million from Intercontinental Exchange. The combined developments represent successive investments in OKX from participants spanning traditional financial services, digital assets and quantitative investment.
