NEAR Reclaims $5 as Buyers Eye Breakout Above $5.60
NEAR Protocol recovered above $5 after rebounding from about $4.70, but repeated selling around the $5.60 area continues to limit the token's advance. TradingView data shows NEAR trading near $5.16 as buyers attempt to extend the recovery.
Buyers defended the $4.70 area through several selling attempts and established higher intraday lows before pushing NEAR back above $5. The recovery has preserved the broader upward structure, although the token remains below the $5.40-$5.60 resistance zone.
NEAR Faces Repeated Rejections Near $5.60
Repeated attempts to move higher have been met with selling, producing long upper wicks on daily candles. The pattern indicates that sellers remain active near recent highs and that a brief move above resistance may not be enough to confirm a sustained breakout.
A daily close above $5.60 would carry greater significance because it would place NEAR beyond the current resistance boundary. If buyers can maintain the move above that level, the next potential target is $6.00.
For that scenario to develop, NEAR would need to hold above $5.00 while overcoming the existing supply zone. The latest recovery has not yet cleared the upper boundary, leaving the breakout unconfirmed.
NEAR's current move follows a substantial advance from approximately $1.60 in August. The token has gained more than 200% from that level, and despite its recent correction, it remains well above its August low and has retained much of the September rally.
NEAR Momentum Recovers as Support Levels Remain Important
NEAR's daily relative strength index has begun turning higher after retreating from overbought readings reached during September. The indicator had moved above 70 as the rally accelerated before cooling during the subsequent consolidation.
The decline in momentum did not produce a comparable reversal in price, allowing much of the earlier advance to remain intact. The latest improvement in the indicator accompanies a recovery within the existing range rather than a confirmed move through resistance.

NEAR also remains well above its major moving averages, while shorter-term averages continue to slope upward beneath the price. That alignment supports the broader bullish structure, although the distance between the current price and longer-term averages could increase exposure to sharper pullbacks.
On the downside, $4.60 is a key support level for the current recovery structure. A break below that threshold would weaken the reversal and could expose NEAR to approximately $4.20 as the next potential support area.
Further weakness could bring the rising short-term moving average into consideration as the correction develops. Conversely, maintaining $5.00 and securing a daily close above $5.60 would strengthen the case for another move toward $6.00.
