Metallicus Launches DogecoinVM With Transactions Up to 300 Times Faster

Metallicus launches DogecoinVM on Metal Blockchain mainnet, reporting transaction speeds up to 300 times faster and 0.15–0.25 second settlement.

Metallicus DogecoinVM launched on Metal Blockchain mainnet with reported 0.15 to 0.25 second transaction settlement

Fintech firm Metallicus has launched an alpha version of DogecoinVM on the Metal Blockchain mainnet, introducing a new layer designed to process Dogecoin transactions at speeds the company says can be up to 300 times faster than before.

DogecoinVM Goes Live on Metal Blockchain

According to Metallicus, the DogecoinVM is a new layer that operates independently from Dogecoin Core. The company said the system can settle transactions in between 0.15 and 0.25 seconds, although deposits are currently limited to 100 DOGE.

The launch places DogecoinVM on the Metal Blockchain mainnet in its alpha phase. Metallicus described the technology as a way to improve the transaction processing speed associated with DOGE while keeping the new layer separate from the core Dogecoin software.

300X Transaction Speed Claim

Metallicus said transactions processed through DogecoinVM can be up to 300 times faster than before. The reported settlement time of 0.15 to 0.25 seconds provides the specific performance range cited by the company for the new system.

The project was also linked by Metallicus CEO Marshall Hayner to a request from Elon Musk to make Dogecoin transactions faster. Hayner characterized DogecoinVM as a response to that request, according to the information shared by BSCN.

Independent Layer for DOGE Transactions

Unlike a change to Dogecoin Core itself, DogecoinVM is being introduced as an independent layer on Metal Blockchain. This distinction means the new system is presented as a separate transaction-processing environment rather than a modification of the Dogecoin Core software.

Despite the reported transaction speed, the alpha version currently has a stated deposit limit of 100 DOGE. Metallicus has therefore launched the technology with both its reported 0.15-to-0.25-second settlement times and a defined limit on deposits.

DogecoinVM is now running on the Metal Blockchain mainnet in alpha, with Metallicus reporting transaction processing speeds of up to 300 times faster than before.
