Chainlink Launches Data Feeds on Stellar as Real-World Assets Exceed $4 Billion

Chainlink launches Data Feeds and Data Streams on Stellar to support decentralized finance and tokenized assets worth over $4 billion

Chainlink's Data Feeds and Data Streams are now live on the Stellar network, giving developers access to market data for decentralized finance applications across an ecosystem supporting more than $4 billion in real-world assets (RWAs). Announced on October 14, 2026, the integration is designed to help developers build lending markets, prediction markets, perpetual futures and other financial products using tokenized assets.

Chainlink Brings Oracle Infrastructure to Stellar

The Stellar Development Foundation said the integration addresses a key requirement for expanding decentralized finance: reliable market data. While issuing assets on a blockchain makes them available onchain, financial applications also need dependable pricing information to support trading, lending and collateral management.

Chainlink's Data Feeds and Data Streams are available natively on Stellar. The services provide market information that applications can use for lending calculations, stablecoin reference rates, collateral valuation and automated liquidations.

Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, said the integration would expand the range of decentralized finance and tokenized-asset applications available across the Stellar ecosystem.

“The Stellar network’s adoption of Chainlink as its data infrastructure unlocks a new generation of DeFi and tokenized asset applications across its ecosystem,” Eid said.

He added that the services provide developers with data infrastructure for building and scaling lending markets, stablecoins and tokenized assets. The foundation's blog post also describes Chainlink's oracle infrastructure as supporting the vast majority of DeFi, with tens of trillions of dollars in onchain transaction value enabled.

Stellar's $4 Billion RWA Ecosystem Gains More Utility

Stellar already supports more than $4 billion in real-world assets. The Chainlink integration is intended to help developers connect those assets to financial applications, including markets that allow users to trade tokenized instruments or use them as collateral.

Stablecoins and tokenized equities are among the asset categories identified as potential beneficiaries. With reliable data available to applications, developers can build functions for pricing, borrowing and collateral management rather than limiting tokenized assets to issuance and ownership onchain.

Raja Chakravorti, Chief Business Officer at the Stellar Development Foundation, said institutional-scale onchain markets require dependable infrastructure for pricing, execution and asset movement. He described Chainlink's data and connectivity services as a foundation for financial applications that put issued assets to work.

Stellar offers smart-contract functionality through a protocol designed with payments in mind. Its architecture aims to keep transaction fees low while allowing transaction speeds to scale as adoption increases.

Stellar Scale Commitment Supports Developer Access

The integration follows Stellar's participation in the Chainlink Scale program, backed by a substantial capital commitment. The program is intended to give developers more cost-efficient access to enterprise-grade oracle infrastructure.

Applications adopting Chainlink on Stellar are using the data services for financial operations that include loan-to-value calculations, collateral processing, automated liquidations and stablecoin reference rates.

The launch adds market-data infrastructure to Stellar's existing tokenized-asset ecosystem. Its broader impact will depend on how developers and financial applications use the services to support trading, lending and other onchain financial activity.
