XRP Ledger Activates fixCleanup3_3_0 With Updates for Lending and Trading
The XRP Ledger has activated fixCleanup3_3_0 after validators approved the amendment with 31 of 35 votes, or 88.57% support, exceeding the 80% threshold required for activation.
The amendment introduces a series of protocol corrections affecting functions used for lending, trading, payments and account management. According to XRPL Foundation Director of Community Hussein Zangana, The changes are intended to strengthen the reliability of infrastructure supporting the XRP Ledger’s expanding financial functionality.
The approval remained above the required threshold throughout the mandatory 14-day voting period.
Hussein Zangana, director of community at the XRPL Foundation and known as Vet, described the update as an important step in protocol hardening. He also thanked validators and infrastructure operators involved in the technical work required to activate the amendment.
XRPL fixCleanup3_3_0 Addresses Multiple Protocol Components
fixCleanup3_3_0 addresses issues across several XRP Ledger features, including Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol and Automated Market Makers.
The amendment also includes corrections affecting permissioned decentralized exchange functions, Checks and pseudo-account operations.
While fixCleanup3_3_0 does not introduce a standalone application, its protocol-level corrections are relevant to services being developed around the ledger. The changes improve the underlying reliability of several components intended to support more complex financial activity.
The amendment therefore forms part of ongoing technical work on the XRP Ledger rather than representing a separate user-facing product.
XRPL Lending and BatchV1_1 Move Through Development
Attention is also turning toward additional protocol changes. Developers have prepared Lending Protocol version 1.1 for inclusion in the XRPL 3.4.0 software release.
Lending Protocol 1.1 builds on the functionality introduced with version 1.0 and is intended to refine key elements of the lending system. Developers also expect future protocol revisions to add further capabilities to both Lending and Single Asset Vaults.
Another proposal under consideration is BatchV1_1, which is designed to improve transaction processing by allowing multiple operations to be grouped into a single batch. The ledger processes an approved batch as one coordinated unit.
BatchV1_1 currently has 71.43% validator support, leaving it below the 80% threshold required for activation. The proposal replaces the original Batch amendment and addresses a critical implementation bug.
PermissionDelegation Advances Through Security Review
PermissionDelegationV1_1 has reached 51.43% support in the validator approval process.
The proposal would allow account holders to delegate selected permissions while retaining control of their accounts, rather than transferring full account authority.
The amendment has also undergone an independent security review by Cantina Security and passed the XRPL quality assurance test suite. Those assessments provide additional technical information for validators evaluating the proposal.
For now, fixCleanup3_3_0 is the amendment that has completed the approval process and activated on the XRP Ledger. BatchV1_1 and PermissionDelegationV1_1 remain subject to the validator process and must obtain sufficient support and maintain it through their respective activation windows before they can become part of the mainnet protocol.
