SCALE Network Targets Pi-Style Mining Community With Decentralized AI Vision

SCALE Network is attracting Pi users with mobile mining and decentralized AI ambitions, but its leadership, token model and utility deserve closer scr

A new crypto project called SCALE Network is positioning its mobile mining model around artificial intelligence infrastructure, drawing comparisons with the early community-building approach associated with Pi Network.

The project has attracted among crypto users following posts from the X account @openmainnet, which described SCALE as a potential next step for users interested in the intersection of decentralized mining and artificial intelligence. The post encouraged Pi Network users to examine SCALE while its mining rewards remain in an early phase.

However, several claims circulating around SCALE require clarification. SCALE Network’s own website currently describes the project as an AI infrastructure platform with a decentralized computing layer, while its official Telegram channel has also published explanations about its mining system and token economics.

SCALE Network Combines AI Infrastructure and Token Mining

According to its official website, SCALE Network is building an AI-focused infrastructure platform designed to connect data, artificial intelligence models and computing resources.

The platform lists several products, including Scale Fabric for data integration, Scale Cortex for private AI models and agents, Scale Sentinel for operational intelligence, Scale Nexus for connecting data and AI systems, and Scale Relay for deploying AI infrastructure across different environments.

The project also describes a decentralized infrastructure layer in which miners contribute computing resources while organizations can use the network's capacity for AI workloads.

SCALE is presented as the utility token for this ecosystem. The project's website says miners contribute GPUs to train and run models, while organizations pay SCALE to access computing capacity. It currently lists a total supply of 1 billion SCALE and a four-month reward-halving cycle.

This model differs from a conventional mobile mining application if the network ultimately succeeds in connecting token rewards with actual decentralized computing demand. Whether that utility develops at scale, however, remains dependent on the project's technical rollout and adoption.

Founders' Background Draws Attention

The SCALE campaign has also highlighted the professional backgrounds of its leadership.

The project's official social-media materials identify Christian Parker as CEO and Alessandro Morgan as COO. SCALE says Parker is a Harvard graduate with 15 years of experience at Google and OpenAI, including work related to ChatGPT. Morgan is described as having experience at Netflix, Airbnb and NVIDIA.

There is an important distinction between these claims and some descriptions circulating on social media.

SCALE Network's official Telegram channel recently issued a clarification stating that Christian Parker does not hold a PhD and is not connected to another individual, Christopher Mullen, whose PhD-related credentials had reportedly been associated with the project in some online discussions. The project advised users to rely on its financial official channels when verifying leadership information.

That clarification is relevant because some promotional posts have described SCALE as being founded by PhDs. The available official information does not support that characterization for Parker.

Mining Model Uses Fixed Reward Eras

SCALE's current website shows a mining schedule divided into reward eras. The first era is listed at 0.1 SCALE per hour for four months, followed by successive reductions to 0.05, 0.025, 0.0125 and lower rates in subsequent four-month periods.

The project's terms explain that SCALE is earned through mining sessions activated inside the application. Users must activate a session, accumulate rewards during the designated period and then collect the accrued amount. The terms also state that mining rates, schedules, bonuses and daily limits can change.

The project currently operates a web-based mining application, while its official communications have described continued development of its broader ecosystem. The official site says the network had more than 351,000 users at the time it was accessed, although user counts can change rapidly.
