Ripple Expands GSmart AI for Enterprise Treasury Management

Ripple expands GSmart AI for enterprise treasury with new forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation and reporting capabilities.

Ripple has expanded GSmart, its governed AI product for enterprise treasury, adding AI-driven capabilities for forecasting, liquidity management, risk analysis, reconciliation and reporting, according to CoinMarketCap.

The expansion was announced by Ripple on Sept. 10, 2026, with the company positioning GSmart as an AI layer embedded directly into treasury policies, data and workflows. Ripple said the system is already in production across its enterprise customer base.

GSmart Adds AI Tools Across Treasury Operations

The expanded GSmart suite uses orchestrated AI agents across forecasting and planning, liquidity, risk, reconciliation and reporting. Each agent can monitor its assigned process, propose an action and identify the policy clause supporting that recommendation before waiting for human approval.

Ripple has also introduced Knowledge Studio as the governance layer for GSmart. Treasury teams can define internal policies and controls that guide how the AI operates, while Analytics Studio and Ask GSmart provide tools for querying treasury data and producing reports.

The system is designed so financial calculations remain separate from AI interpretation. Ripple said deterministic engines perform the calculations, while AI is used to identify patterns, interpret policies and explain recommendations. Financial actions remain subject to human approval.

Enterprise Adoption Shows Early Usage

Ripple said GSmart is already seeing adoption among its enterprise customers. Risk Insights has been enabled by 60% of eligible customers, while 44% of eligible customers are using Forecast Insights, which compares forecasted and actual cash flows to identify emerging liquidity gaps.

The expansion comes as financial institutions and corporate finance teams increasingly evaluate AI for operational processes where auditability and control are critical. Ripple’s approach places policy enforcement and human approval at the center rather than allowing treasury agents to independently execute financial decisions.

GSmart’s capabilities now cover areas ranging from cash forecasting and liquidity scenarios to risk monitoring, reconciliation matching, fraud protection and reporting. Ripple also says its agents maintain audit trails and cite the policy controls behind proposed actions.

For the broader financial technology market, the expansion illustrates a shift toward specialized AI systems designed around existing financial workflows rather than standalone general-purpose assistants. The next stage will be whether enterprises markets broaden deployment from analytical recommendations into more treasury processes while retaining the approval and audit controls required for financial operations.
