Pi Network KYC Update Clears Migration Issues for More Than 900,000 Users
Pi Network has introduced a new set of technical fixes aimed at resolving KYC and Mainnet migration problems affecting more than 900,000 Pioneers, according to an update from the Pi Core Team.
The changes address two major categories of outstanding issues: duplicate-account flags that prevented some users from progressing through verification and Fast-Track KYC wallet problems that blocked migration because of insufficient Pi for gas fees.

The update includes 417,000 accounts cleared from duplicate-account flags and another 497,000 Fast-Track wallets scheduled to become eligible for migration within a week.
Pi Network also expanded its verification infrastructure, including live liveness checks for older mobile devices and a trial of palm-print verification for selected users. Indonesian Pioneers whose KIA identification documents are not supported can also resubmit their information.
Pi Network KYC Update Addresses Duplicate-Account Flags
Duplicate-account detection has been a significant source of delays for some users undergoing Pi Network KYC. Under the latest review process, more than 417,000 accounts were identified as legitimate, unique users and cleared of the duplicate-account restriction.

The clearance allows those users to continue through the Pi Network verification process. It does not, however, mean that every remaining KYC requirement has automatically been completed, as additional checks may still apply before final approval.
The change is intended to remove one of the technical barriers preventing verified users from progressing toward Mainnet migration.
Fast-Track Wallets Set for Mainnet Migration
Pi Network is also addressing a separate problem involving users who entered the KYC process through the Fast-Track route.
Some of those wallets could not complete migration because they did not have sufficient Pi available to cover required gas fees. The latest fix is designed to reconcile the two KYC pathways and allow approximately 497,000 affected wallets to proceed.
The Pi Core Team said those wallets are expected to unlock within a week, giving affected users a path toward claiming their eligible Pi balances through the migration process.
Mainnet Migration Progress Follows Protocol 27 Upgrade
The KYC and migration changes arrive after Pi Network's Protocol 27 Mainnet upgrade, which introduced smart-contract capabilities and additional decentralized exchange infrastructure to the ecosystem.
Migration remains a major outstanding process for the network. Figures cited in the official update indicated that approximately 16 million to 18 million of 60 million engaged Pioneers had completed migration before the latest fixes.
That represents roughly 27% to 30% of the engaged user base. Resolving verification and wallet-related bottlenecks could allow more eligible users to move through the Mainnet process, although the update does not establish a fixed completion date for all remaining accounts.
Pi Network is also continuing second migrations for eligible users who have already completed their initial migration. Certain referral bonuses are included in this phased process.
Pi Network Expands Verification Options
The latest update also includes changes to the identity-verification process.
Live liveness checks have been expanded to work with older phones, potentially allowing users with less capable devices to complete the required verification process.
Pi Network has separately begun a one-month trial of palm-print verification for selected users. Decisions regarding broader deployment are expected to depend on the results of that trial rather than a predetermined rollout schedule.
For users in Indonesia whose KIA identification documents are not currently supported, the update provides an option to resubmit their information.
PI Price Remains Stable as Migration Fixes Roll Out
Pi Network's technical progress has occurred alongside relatively limited movement in the PI market.
The source market snapshot placed PI at $0.0831, up 0.45% over 24 hours. Pi's market capitalization was approximately $934.52 million, representing a 0.55% increase, while 24-hour trading volume fell 31.49% to $8.42 million.

The token's fully diluted valuation stood at $8.32 billion, with approximately 11.23 billion PI circulating against a maximum supply of 100 billion PI.
The decline in daily trading volume indicates that the latest migration developments had not translated into a comparable increase in short-term market activity at the time of the snapshot.
Pi Network Migration Continues in Phases
The Pi Network migration process remains dependent on technical readiness rather than a single fixed timetable.
Second migrations and eligible referral-related balances are continuing for users who have already completed their first migration. The palm-print verification program will run for one month before decisions are made about a wider rollout.
For users still encountering migration restrictions, the Mainnet checklist inside the Pi app remains the relevant place to review outstanding requirements and retry blocked steps.
The latest changes remove several identified technical barriers, but broader progress will also depend on how quickly eligible users complete verification and migration and how activity develops across the Pi Network ecosystem.
