Morgan Stanley’s MSBT Reaches $634 Million in Net Inflows With Just One Outflow Day

Morgan Stanley’s MSBT Bitcoin ETF reaches about $634 million in net inflows after recording only one outflow day since its April 2026 launch.
Morgan Stanley’s MSBT Bitcoin ETF reaches approximately $634 million in net inflows after recording only one outflow day since its April 2026 launch

Morgan Stanley’s spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund, the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust (MSBT), has recorded approximately $634 million in cumulative net inflows since its launch, with only one trading day registering net outflows.

Cointelegraph reported the figure on Sept. 22, citing data showing that MSBT has maintained positive daily flows on nearly every trading session since beginning operations in April 2026.

MSBT Records $61.7 Million Daily Inflow

The latest increase included $61.7 million in net inflows on Sept. 21, according to reports citing Bitcoin ETF flow data. That marked the fund’s largest single-day inflow since its launch in April.

MSBT’s cumulative net inflows have now reached roughly $634 million over its first five months of trading. The fund has recorded only one day of net redemptions since its debut, with approximately $5.3 million flowing out on May 29.

The latest inflow came as U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs collectively recorded about $998.96 million in net inflows on Sept. 21, according to data attributed to Farside Investors and reported by industry outlets. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT accounted for $61.67 million of that daily total.

Morgan Stanley Entered the Spot Bitcoin ETF Market in April

MSBT began trading on April 8, 2026, on NYSE Arca. On its first trading day, the fund recorded $30.6 million in net inflows and approximately $34 million in trading volume, according to Cointelegraph’s report on the launch.

The initial performance continued into the fund’s first month. The Block reported that MSBT accumulated $193.6 million in net inflows during its first 30 days without recording a daily net redemption.

The fund’s early capital flows were also notable because they came during a period when other U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced both inflow and outflow sessions. MSBT therefore entered the market with a flow pattern that remained positive during its initial trading period.

Only One Recorded Outflow Since Launch

The single outflow day occurred on May 29, when approximately $5.3 million left the fund on a net basis. Subsequent trading sessions returned to net inflows, bringing cumulative inflows to roughly $634 million by Sept. 22.

The figures provide a five-month view of capital flows into Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin ETF rather than a measure of total assets or investment performance. ETF flows can also change from one trading session to another, meaning the cumulative figure reflects activity recorded through the latest reported period.

For MSBT, the next reported flow figures will show whether the pattern of predominantly positive daily flows continues following the Sept. 21 inflow of $61.7 million.
