Grayscale Announces 3-for-1 Forward Split for Zcash ETF ZCSH
The split applies to Grayscale’s Zcash ETF, which trades under the ticker $ZCSH on the NYSE. Grayscale formally announced the move, with the change scheduled to take effect on September 30, 2026.
ZCSH Shares to Triple After Split
Under the 3-for-1 forward split, investors will receive three shares for every one share held before the split. The number of shares outstanding will therefore increase by three times, while the price per share will be adjusted lower accordingly.
BSCN said the move will give investors access to the Grayscale Zcash ETF at a “lower entry point.” A stock split changes the number of shares and their per-share price without, by itself, changing the overall value of an investor’s position at the time of the adjustment.
The split is scheduled for September 30, 2026, when the new share structure will take effect.
Fund Reaches $500 Million in AUM
The announcement comes after recent growth in the fund, with $ZCSH reaching $500 million in assets under management on the NYSE, according to BSCN.
Assets under management, or AUM, represents the value of assets managed by the fund. The $500 million figure provides context for Grayscale’s decision to adjust the share structure as the Zcash ETF has expanded.
The move concerns the ETF’s share structure rather than a change to the underlying Zcash network or the number of ZEC tokens in circulation. The adjustment is instead designed around the trading price and number of ETF shares available to investors.
Split Takes Effect September 30
Investors holding ZCSH will see the fund’s shares adjusted as part of the 3-for-1 split when it takes effect on September 30, 2026.
The announcement follows the fund reaching the $500 million AUM milestone cited by BSCN. The upcoming date is therefore the next specific event for investors tracking Grayscale’s Zcash ETF and its revised share structure.
