Crypto Market Falls as Bifrost Surges 258% to Lead Top Gainers
The cryptocurrency market moved lower overall, with Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, XRP, Solana, Zcash, Hyperliquid and Dogecoin all posting declines, while TRON was the only major non-stablecoin asset among the listed leaders to record a gain. Bifrost (BFC), meanwhile, stood out among smaller tokens with a 258.3% surge.
According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.3% to $78,118.16. Despite the decline, Bitcoin remained the largest digital asset by market capitalization at $1.57 trillion, with $33.92 billion in trading volume.
Ethereum (ETH) declined 1.1% to $2,472.71, giving it a market capitalization of $301.69 billion. BNB fell 4.8% to $719.03, while XRP dropped 3.6% to $1.38. XRP recorded $2.27 billion in trading volume and a market value of $86.78 billion.
Solana (SOL) also weakened, falling 3.1% to $101.24. Zcash (ZEC) slipped 0.6% to $1,217.48, while Hyperliquid (HYPE) declined 4% to $83.20.
Crypto Market Declines as Major Tokens Lose Ground
Dogecoin (DOGE) recorded the sharpest decline among the major assets listed, falling 5.7% to $0.08538. Its market capitalization stood at $13.30 billion.
TRON (TRX) moved in the opposite direction, gaining 0.2% to $0.3394. It was the only appreciating major non-stablecoin asset in the group.
The broad declines across higher-ranked cryptocurrencies pointed to weaker market positioning during the period, although trading activity remained significant. The continued turnover indicates that market participants remained active despite the downward movement across most major assets.
Bifrost Leads Crypto Market Gainers
Bifrost (BFC) recorded the strongest increase among the featured gainers, climbing 258.3% to $0.03863. Trading volume for the token reached $60.52 million.

Smaller Tokens Attract Trading Activity

Ape and Pepe (APEPE) completed the featured gainers, rising 17.9% to $0.051412 on $12.86 million in trading volume.
The performance of these smaller tokens contrasted with the weakness among most major cryptocurrencies. While large-cap assets generally traded lower, several lower-ranked tokens recorded substantial percentage gains, indicating pockets of speculative demand within an otherwise declining market.
