Blockchain.com Targets $500 Million U.S. IPO at Valuation of Up to $6 Billion
Blockchain.com is targeting a U.S. initial public offering that could raise about $500 million and value the cryptocurrency financial-services company at as much as $6 billion, according to Bloomberg.
Coin Bureau highlighted the report in a post on X, saying Blockchain.com is seeking a U.S. listing later this year after confidentially filing IPO documents earlier in 2026. The company is reportedly discussing a valuation between $4 billion and $6 billion with prospective investors, although the size of the offering and final terms could change.
Blockchain.com Seeks Public-Market Listing
The reported IPO would mark another step in Blockchain.com's effort to access U.S. public markets. The company, known for its cryptocurrency wallet and brokerage services, confidentially submitted draft registration documents to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this year.
Because the filing remains confidential, details such as the final number of shares, pricing and other offering terms have not been publicly established. A confidential filing also does not guarantee that a company will ultimately complete an IPO.
Bloomberg's report said Blockchain.com is pitching prospective investors on a transaction that could raise approximately $500 million. The company could reduce the size of the offering depending on market conditions and investor demand.
Valuation Remains Below 2022 Peak
The proposed $4 billion to $6 billion valuation would be substantially below Blockchain.com's private-market valuation during the 2022 cryptocurrency boom.
The company was valued at about $14 billion during a funding round in March 2022. A valuation at the upper end of the reported IPO range would therefore represent less than half of that earlier figure. Subsequent fundraising took place at a lower valuation following the downturn in cryptocurrency markets.
The difference illustrates how the company's potential public-market valuation has changed since the peak of the previous crypto cycle. However, the figures reported for the IPO remain preliminary and could change before a public filing or final pricing.
Crypto IPO Pipeline Expands
Blockchain.com's reported plans come as other major cryptocurrency companies pursue access to public markets. CoinDesk reported that the potential listing would follow other crypto firms exploring or completing public offerings, after some planned deals were delayed earlier in 2026.
The company has also continued expanding its financial-market ambitions. On Sept. 23, Blockchain.com and the New York Stock Exchange announced an agreement to explore tokenized versions of U.S.-listed stocks, an initiative that remains subject to regulatory requirements.
For Blockchain.com, the next major step toward a public listing will depend on the SEC process, market conditions and the company's decision on final offering terms. The reported target remains a U.S. IPO before the end of 2026.
