Binance Launches Stock Options Covering More Than 1,000 U.S. Stocks and ETFs

Binance stock options now cover 1,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, expanding access to Tesla, Nvidia and other equity derivatives for eligible users.
Binance launches stock options covering more than 1,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs, including Tesla and Nvidia.

Binance has launched a stock-options product giving eligible users outside the United States access to call and put options on more than 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds, expanding the exchange’s push into traditional financial markets. The service went live on September 1, 2026, and allows customers to access equity derivatives through their existing Binance accounts, according to a report published by CoinGabbar, citing Binance and related market infrastructure.

How Binance Stock Options Work

The options service operates through Nest Trading Limited, Binance’s broker-dealer regulated by the Abu Dhabi Global Market. Orders are routed to Alpaca Securities LLC, a U.S.-registered, self-clearing broker-dealer and FINRA member responsible for execution, clearing, settlement and custody.

The contracts are physically settled. If an option is exercised, the holder receives the underlying shares rather than a cash equivalent, with Alpaca maintaining custody of those securities.

The initial product has several restrictions. Users can only buy calls and puts and cannot sell options. All orders must be submitted as limit orders, while market orders are not currently supported. Losses are limited to the premium paid for an option.

Exercise requests must be submitted at least 30 minutes before expiration. Standard trading hours run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time, while certain ETF and ETN contracts remain available until 4:15 p.m. ET.

Binance’s Expanding TradFi Business

The options launch follows a sharp increase in Binance’s traditional-finance-related trading activity during 2026.

Trading volume for TradFi perpetual futures reached approximately $433.4 billion in August, compared with $29.5 billion in January, representing roughly 15 times growth.

Equity-linked perpetual contracts accounted for much of that expansion. Their volume increased from $410.9 million in January to $342.9 billion in August, an increase of more than 800 times over seven months.

Binance has also reported strong demand for direct stock trading. Emerging markets accounted for more than 80% of direct stock-trading volume during the first week following its June 2026 equities launch, which offered access to more than 7,000 stocks and ETFs.

Availability and Next Steps

The stock-options service is not available to users based in the United States. Fees are primarily charged in USDC, with BNB, USDT, USD1 and $U also accepted subject to availability.

Shunyet Jan, Binance’s Head of Exchange and Trading, said the stock contracts are intended to provide access to tools traditionally offered through conventional brokerage platforms while keeping them within a single account.

Binance plans to expand the range of available stocks and ETFs. Competition is also emerging, with Bybit scheduled to launch stock-linked contracts on September 17. Unlike Binance’s physically settled options, those contracts will settle in USDT.

The developments highlight the growing overlap between crypto-native exchanges and traditional financial markets, with equity trading and derivatives increasingly being incorporated into platforms historically focused on digital assets.
