125 Billion SHIB Sent to Unidentified Wallet From BitGo-Linked Address

A BitGo-linked wallet sent 125.33 billion SHIB worth about $678,000 to an unidentified address that has retained the full balance.
125.33 billion SHIB transferred from a BitGo-linked wallet to an unidentified Ethereum address.

An unidentified Ethereum wallet has received 125.33 billion Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens from an address linked to cryptocurrency custodian BitGo], drawing attention to a large transfer whose recipient and purpose remain unknown.

According to Shiba Inu community member Mazrael, Arkham Intelligence identifies the receiving address as an unlabeled wallet. Blockchain records show that it received exactly 125,334,083,223 SHIB, worth approximately $678,000 at the time of the assessment.

The destination had no previous transaction history before receiving the tokens. That suggests the address may have been created specifically for the transfer, although the blockchain data does not establish who controls it or why the wallet was created.

The wallet has retained the entire 125.33 billion SHIB balance and has not recorded an outgoing transaction since receiving the tokens. As a result, there is currently no on-chain evidence that the recipient is preparing to sell the tokens.

BitGo-Linked Wallet Accumulated More Than 1 Trillion SHIB

The transfer originated from a WalletSimple multisignature contract that blockchain platforms identify as a BitGo custody wallet.

Before sending the 125.33 billion SHIB, the address had received two substantial deposits. The first involved 600 billion SHIB on September 1, followed by another 408 billion SHIB on September 6.

Those transactions brought the total SHIB deposited into the BitGo-linked wallet to 1.008 trillion tokens before the subsequent withdrawal.

On-chain analysis connected the larger September 1 deposit to an early Shiba Inu whale through an intermediary forwarding address. The second deposit was reportedly associated with another whale whose wallet had been inactive for approximately three years.

Because both deposits were sent to the same multisignature custody address, public blockchain records cannot establish which source ultimately supplied the 125.33 billion SHIB later transferred to the unidentified destination.

The movement therefore provides evidence of a large SHIB transfer through a BitGo-linked custody address, but not enough information to identify the ultimate recipient or determine which whale, if either, was behind the specific withdrawal.

SHIB Transfer Purpose Remains Unclear

The receiving address has no Ethereum Name Service domain, ShibName or publicly associated alias, leaving its ownership unidentified.

Its decision to retain the full balance also leaves several possible explanations open. The wallet could represent segregated custody, long-term storage or an over-the-counter settlement between unidentified parties. None of those possibilities can be confirmed from the available blockchain records.

Likewise, the transfer does not establish that the recipient is accumulating SHIB or preparing to sell it. Without additional transactions or identifying information, the destination’s intentions remain unknown.

For now, the clearest information from the blockchain is that 125,334,083,223 SHIB moved from a BitGo-linked multisignature wallet into a previously inactive and unlabeled Ethereum address.

The transaction adds another large movement to recent SHIB whale activity, but the identity of the recipient and the reason for the transfer remain unresolved.
