Ethena’s USDe Surpasses $320 Million on Robinhood Chain in Eight Weeks
Ethena’s USDe stablecoin has surpassed $320 million in supply on Robinhood Chain within eight weeks of the network’s launch, making it the largest external dollar-denominated asset on the chain and accounting for 42% of its stablecoin supply, according to data from Token Terminal.
The figures were highlighted in information shared on X by @WuBlockchain. USDe’s position on Robinhood Chain now places it second only to USDG, the network’s own dollar asset, in terms of the assets referenced in the data.
The rapid growth has drawn attention to the infrastructure and liquidity arrangements surrounding Robinhood Chain’s launch, particularly the role of USDe within decentralized finance markets on the network.
USDe Gains Significant Share of Robinhood Chain Stablecoins
Token Terminal data show that USDe has grown to more than $320 million on Robinhood Chain during the first eight weeks following the network’s launch.
At that level, USDe represents 42% of the chain’s total stablecoin supply. The figure gives Ethena’s dollar-denominated asset a substantial presence within the network’s stablecoin ecosystem despite being an external asset rather than Robinhood Chain’s own USDG.
USDe is issued by Ethena and is designed as a synthetic dollar asset within the digital-asset ecosystem. Its expansion on Robinhood Chain indicates that the asset has quickly become an important component of the chain’s available stablecoin liquidity.
The data also show that USDe ranks behind only USDG, Robinhood Chain’s native dollar asset, among dollar assets on the network.
Infrastructure and Collateral Strategy Drive USDe Growth
Analyst Mesh attributed the growth to several factors related to the design of the infrastructure supporting the Robinhood Chain launch.
One factor was the structure of the network’s underlying infrastructure, which Mesh said contributed to the adoption of USDe. Another was **Steakhouse Financial’s selection of Ethena as the primary collateral issuer for the launch of Robinhood Earn.
The choice positioned USDe as a key collateral asset within financial applications associated with the network.
The interaction between collateral allocation and decentralized lending markets also played a significant role in USDe’s expansion, according to the analyst.
62%–65% of USDG Vault Liquidity Flowed Into USDe Market
Mesh said that 62%–65% of the liquidity allocated by the Steakhouse USDG Vault flowed into the USDe/USDG Morpho market.
Morpho is a decentralized lending infrastructure that allows markets to be created around specific lending and borrowing arrangements. In the USDe/USDG market, USDe became an important collateral asset for borrowers operating within the system.
According to Mesh, borrowers deposited USDe into the markets because it represented the deepest collateral slot in the vault.
This liquidity concentration helped establish a significant market for USDe relative to other stablecoin assets on Robinhood Chain. The flow of capital from the Steakhouse USDG Vault into the USDe/USDG Morpho market therefore formed part of the mechanism behind USDe’s rapid growth on the network.
USDe Becomes a Major External Dollar Asset
The development highlights how liquidity design and collateral selection can influence the distribution of stablecoins on a blockchain network.
Rather than USDe’s growth being driven solely by its availability as a stablecoin, the analyst’s explanation points to its role within lending and collateral infrastructure connected to the launch of Robinhood Earn.
With more than $320 million on Robinhood Chain, USDe has reached a scale that makes it a significant component of the network’s stablecoin market. Its 42% share also places the asset well ahead of other external dollar assets based on the figures provided.
The data provide an early indication of how stablecoins can gain market share on newly launched blockchain networks when they are incorporated into lending infrastructure and selected as collateral for financial applications.
For Robinhood Chain, the concentration of liquidity around USDG and USDe reflects the importance of stablecoin infrastructure to the network’s early decentralized finance activity. For Ethena, the figures represent a significant expansion of USDe’s presence within another blockchain ecosystem.
