Dear pioneers, ladies and gentlemen, good evening. I am glad to be here and share my speech titled "Fulfilling Pioneer Responsibilities and Cooperating with the Project to Promote the Open Mainnet." On June 28th, Pi pioneers around the world were eagerly awaiting the official announcement of Pi2Day, yet the project team did not disclose the timing of the open mainnet.
Although the announcement listed significant achievements of the project so far, especially the important progress in bridging the information connection channel between WEB2 and WEB3, the community expressed disappointment and some erroneous voices and behaviors emerged. In today's meeting, we hope that all pioneers can maintain confidence and increase faith. By understanding the Pinetwork's whitepaper, the conditions for the open mainnet, and the position of the pioneer community in the project, let us take practical actions and cooperate with the project team to promote the mainnet!
Why should we maintain confidence? Because this announcement actually contains two important benefits! Firstly, a continuous mechanism for hackathons has been established, with monthly events providing ongoing opportunities for the creation of new applications. Secondly, the Pinet initiative allows pioneers to explore the Pi ecosystem without the limitations of the Pi browser, bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3. The Pi Network will not be limited to our community of over 47 million pioneers, but billions of Web2 users will connect with the Pi Network of Web3 platforms. This crucial step will lead to the influx of thousands of traditional enterprises and Web2 users into the Pi Web3 network, bringing unprecedented prosperity to it.
Next, let's talk about the open mainnet that everyone is concerned about. Why wasn't it announced to be open on June 28th? Let's take a look at the basic conditions for an open mainnet mentioned in the whitepaper: ecological maturity, healthy community, and sufficient nodes. It is apparent to anyone that Pioneer is crucial and irreplaceable in these three aspects.
Firstly, let's talk about the requirement for a certain proportion of qualified users who have passed the KYC process for community healthiness. The main subject in this element is Pioneer, qualified Pioneers! Currently, the number of users who have passed KYC was approximately 13 million according to the statistics in May, while the number of mapped wallets is less than 3 million. Compared to the 47 million Pioneers, this is still far from enough. Based on our analysis of the official announcements and calls from the project team, we have summarized the following directions for our empowering actions:
Firstly, community development is crucial in advancing the mainnet. The project team places great emphasis on interacting and communicating with users, establishing close connections through online and offline activities, and listening to the opinions and suggestions of pioneers. The project team has repeatedly encouraged users to actively participate in community development and contribute to the Pi Network community. For domestic community development, we can organize online and offline activities to enhance interaction and communication among pioneers.
For example, we can hold regular meetups to discuss PiCoin-related topics, share usage experiences and techniques, and assist pioneers with limited cultural knowledge. Additionally, we can establish forums or social media groups (WeChat and QQ groups) for the pioneer community, facilitating real-time communication and sharing of the latest developments, guiding pioneers with limited knowledge of Pi to enhance their learning, and improving their understanding and consensus on the value of Pi Network and PiCoin, aiming to achieve the broadest consensus value based on the internationally accepted GCV starting point. We should also minimize or eliminate low-priced exchanges and prevent illegal buying and selling of accounts (commonly referred to as avoiding "sheeple fleecing").
In terms of international community development, we can engage in exchanges and collaborations with pioneering communities in other countries and regions. Through mutual learning and sharing experiences, we can explore more effective promotional methods and further expand the user base of the Pi Network, helping empowering ecological enterprises to survive and achieve healthy development.
Lastly, as pioneers, we need to understand that the launch of the mainnet is a complex process that requires time and effort to realize. We should maintain patience and trust that the project team will open the mainnet in a timely manner based on the maturity of conditions. Before that, we should not wait idly but continue to actively promote and evangelize the Pi Network by lighting up the lightning and advocating for its promotion, contributing to the growth of the community.
Secondly, focusing on the ecological construction, building a strong ecosystem is crucial for the development of the mainnet. We will actively promote cooperation with traditional entrepreneurs in the WEB2 sector and integrate them into the Pi Network, creating diversified application scenarios and enriching ecological products and services. We believe that only a thriving and healthy ecosystem can maximize the value of the Pi Network and the WEB3 platform. Through PINET tools, we will extensively publicize and distribute the web3 ecosystem and applications of the Pi Network to the WEB2 platform and guide thousands of entrepreneurs and ecosystems from the WEB2 centralized platforms to the Pi WEB3 network. This will accelerate the prosperity and maturity of the ecosystem and greatly speed up the progress of the mainnet. Third, regarding node construction in blockchain technology, the consensus mechanism is the basis for ensuring network security and stable operation. Pioneers with capabilities and resources can deploy their own nodes to contribute to the security, stability, and speed of the network. Therefore, pioneers must diligently fulfill their responsibilities and obligations in accordance with the project team's requirements in the process of forming value consensus.
