JUST IN : Pi eCard is a POS (Point of Sale) system that pioneers must know - hokanews

hokanews.com - Pi eCard is the easy Pi Network's POS (Point of Sale) system. Decent Apps Ltd, a UK-registered company, built Pi eCard, and is also the creator of the Pi Hackathon-winning Pi Webinars app. More than one million Pi have been transacted via Pi eCard by over 100K registered users.

If you want to transact Pi in a safe, easy, and fast way, the first thing you must do is register with Pi eCard in the Pi Browser. Simply type ‘piecard.app’ in the Pi Browser and an account will be created for you automatically, based on your Pi Network account. Currently, it is not possible to register outside the Pi Browser.

If you wish to use the app outside the Pi Browser, you must first enable password login. To do this, go ‘piecard.app’ in the Pi Browser. Click on the menu icon at the top left corner, then choose the first option with the ‘key’ icon and create a password to log in outside the Pi Browser. You will receive a message that you have successfully created the password. Now you can use the ‘login with password’ option in the menu to login when using the app outside the Pi Browser.

Our developing team is always working to upgrade Pi eCard. Our most recent improvement is that you can receive Pi eCard transactions straight to your wallet. To enjoy this new feature, go to piecard.app in the Pi Browser to link a Pi wallet to your account and start taking advantage of even easier transactions via Pi usernames, QR codes, URLs, and more!

Be aware that Pi eCard is live and available only on Mainnet. Therefore, you will need KYC and Mainnet migration to transfer Pi. This fact and the automatic Pi eCard account creation based on your Pi Network account guarantees that your Pi is safe when you receive it or deposit it into Pi eCard.

In the following lines, we describe a pair of transfer options and some cool features in Pi eCard for our users.

Username Transfers

The Pi eCard app offers various benefits. One of the most important is that vendors and customers can transact Pi without sharing or typing long public keys into their wallets. Pioneers only need to use their Pi username to easily transact Pi with other pioneers through our dApp. This adds value to our Pi ecosystem because it eliminates possible mistakes that may void transactions, or worse, lose their hard-earned Pi.

To pay another Pioneer using their username, first navigate to ‘piecard.app’ inside the Pi Browser. Next, simply navigate to the ‘Send’ box and fill in the ‘send to username’ form, including the transaction amount, recipient username (case-sensitive) and an optional memo. Click ‘send’, then confirm the transaction in the popup window (and complete the Pi transaction flow, if you do not already have a sufficient Pi eCard balance). Success! Your transfer is complete and the Pi will now be safely in the recipient's wallet.

The ‘Send by Username’ feature is limited for use only with other users of Pi eCard, since the recipient must have an account in Pi Network. Keeping in line the rules of the Enclosed Mainnet, we do not yet offer the purchase or sale of Pi coins for other currencies. And finally, Pi KYC is required to deposit or withdraw coins from the app, however, in-app transactions are possible without Pi KYC.

QR Transactions

Concerning QR transactions, if you are the client here are the following steps to make a transaction:

-The vendor first has to create the QR code.

-The vendor asks you to scan the QR code.

-Then you click the ‘Scan QR’ button and allow the camera permission.

- Point the camera at the QR code. You will be alerted of the transaction once scanned.

-Click ‘ok’ on the popup to confirm the transaction.

- If you don’t have sufficient in-app Pi balance, you will be presented with the standard Pi transaction flow.

- The payment will now be complete. Check with the vendor to verify this.

In case you are a vendor, see here the steps to receive QR transfers:

- Click on the ‘Invoice’ box and enter the amount you want to invoice, including an optional short memo for your personal use.

- Click ‘Create’ and wait for the QR code to appear. Ask your client to scan the QR code (see the above steps).

- Wait for the client to complete their transaction flow and watch the status bar for updates.

- Once the client has completed the transaction flow, the status bar will inform you of its completion. You can see the value added to your app´s balance

The QR code is limited for use only with other users of Pi eCard. The code must be scanned by the Pi eCard app. Keeping in line the the rules of the Enclosed Mainnet, we do not yet offer the purchase or sale of Pi coins for other currencies.

Pi eCard PWA Advantages

We aim to make your transactions as easy as possible. Because of this, you can enjoy our downloadable Pi eCard PWA (Progressive Web App) and take advantage of your mobile device features without having to visit an app store. You can download our Pi eCard app directly from a browser such as Chrome, Safari, or others — simply go to piecard.app in the web and click the ‘Install app’ option in your browser’s menu.

You can make transactions through our website or PWA (downloadable website) without the Pi Browser.

Multilingual Platform

We have many language options available on the menu. Go to the Menu icon in the top left corner and choose the option “Translate page” to use the app in English, Spanish, Korean, Hindi, Vietnamese, or Chinese languages.

Remember that you can contact us by sending a message to support@piecard.app. We look forward to receiving your insights, inquiries, suggestions, compliments, or complaints about our application.
